4. Buffalo Exchange $1 Earth Day Event (April 22nd):

Everything is $1 at Buffalo Exchange's Earth Day event! You seriously can’t beat those prices. This is honestly one of the funnest thrifting experiences of the year, all of the clothing is in boxes and piles throughout the store's back parking lot and starting at 11:00 am it’s everyone for themselves. This event raises money for a variety of local charities as well as environmental causes. Here are some tips to help you navigate the chaos:

  • Arrive early, stock is limited  and once they run out, the event is over. You may need to wait in line but that's a great opportunity to chat with other thrifty fashionistas.

  • Stop at an ATM before you go, this specific event is CASH ONLY!

  • Bring your reusable totes because Buffalo Exchange is a bag-less company, Also you need a way to stash your finds so no one else swoops them away.

  • Dress cute and comfortable- you will most likely be sitting on the ground  sorting through endless piles so wear the Carhart and not the Anthropology.
